Exploring the world since 1818

Heering was founded in 1818 by Peter F. Heering, a young businessman trading colonial goods in the Copenhagen harbour. He saw potential in this old cherry liqueur recipe he got from his former boss’s wife. Over time “Heering cherry liqueur” became a staple on the cargo ships leaving to ports all around the world. From Calcutta to Madras, from Shanghai to Jakarta —Heering quickly gained popularity all around the globe.

With over 200 years of history and tradition, Heering is not only the world’s first cherry liqueur, it is also the most awarded.
