Ingredients
• Sanding sugar, for rims
• 1 McIntosh apple
• Freshly squeezed lemon juice
• Ice cubes
• 1 ounce bourbon
• 1/2 ounce apple cider
• 1/2 ounce Cherry Heering
• 1/2 ounce Calvados
Directions
1. Place sanding sugar in a shallow dish and set aside. Trim top and bottom of apple. Using a mellon baller or spoon, remove core of apple, hollowing out to form a cup. Brush the inside and rim of apple with lemon juice. Dip rim in sanding sugar to coat; set aside.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice; add bourbon, cider, Cherry Heering, and Calvados. Cover and shake vigorously to combine. Strain mixture into prepared apple cup; serve immediately.
