Heering Accessorize 2009 is a global fashion competition intended for the worlds most talented and aspiring designers. Cherry Heering is looking for designers to create a cocktail dress inspired by one of six Cherry Heering cocktails, created by Scandinavian world class mixologist Richard Broni. The most exciting feature of this competition is that one winning designer will be awarded their own runway show at the Internationally acclaimed Copenhagen Fashion Week (Spring/Summer 2010).

The inspired Cherry Heering cocktails come in six categories: Classic, Romantic, Exotic, Vintage, Dramatic and RocknRoll. The qualifying rounds will be an online experience, with one winner being selected from each of the participating countries, with the Grand Finale taking place at the legendary Raffles Hotel in Singapore on June 4th, 2009. The Raffles Hotel is home of the famous Singapore Sling, the iconic cocktail that made Cherry Heering renowned around the world.

The Inspirational Cocktails:
1.CLASSIC: The original Singapore Sling a traditional Singapore Sling, with Cherry Heering as it was originally created at Raffles Hotel in 1915.
2.ROMANTIC: Cherry Blossom – a romantic Champagne cocktail with Cherry Heering and rose leaves served in a coupette, instead of a traditional champagne glass to highlight the drink.
3.EXOTIC: Spice Coffee Heering a challenging and spicy combination of tastes: Heering coffee liquor, chili, raspberry and lemon.
4.VINTAGE: Pisco Heering the first cocktails were called sours, and this vintage drink is layered sour- drink with Cherry Heering, served in a classic sherry glass.
5.DRAMATIC: Heering Rebel a truly dramatic, Bordeaux-red wine drink with coarse black ground pepper and Cherry Heering.
6.ROCKNROLL: Cherry Heering Gone Wild a cool unisex drink, a rocking bourbon cocktail with Cherry Heering served in a rocks glass.

Some requirements for participation in Heering Accessorize 2009:

•Fashion design students that are in the last year of education or a newly established (1-3 years) fashion designer with their own business

•Submission requirements include a technical drawing, a description of the dress and a description of the fabric along with a current resume

•One US online winner will receive financial help to produce their dress, together with a mini collection (two more dresses) that will be presented on the catwalk at the International Grand Finale in Singapore. More than 15 countries are expected to compete

•The US design winner will also compete with the US mixology winner against the international teams for a larger global prize
